A resident company of special economic zone "Dubna" has shipped the first batch of new high-quality product – test strips for urinalysis Aution Sticks. Only for the first month a million pieces was produced. With simple calculations by the end of 2016 the number of test strips dispatched fr om the territory of Dubna SEZ will be about 6 million.

The event was attended by a large delegation of experts from Japan, the representatives of the distributors companies, special economic zone "Dubna", administration of Dubna, second Secretary of the Ambassador of Japan in Russian Federation Mr. Ken Hirose.

Opening the ceremony, General Director of "Arkrey" Mr. Sakata Tocoa noted that the plant in the SEZ in Dubna had already given the life of such a popular on the Russian market device as a portable blood glucose meter to measure blood sugar levels. With the advent of a new medical product, he said, there was a hope to further strengthen its positions, once again demonstrating the traditional Japanese quality: - Such a plant in the special economic zone is a big advantage in terms of timely delivery to our clients in Russia of high-tech products with guaranteed quality. An important step towards the sustainable growth of the company in the future will be the expansion of the products portfolio that we started with. As far as medium-term objectives are concerned, we intend to increase our production capacity. In particular, we consider the possibility of starting production of analyzers Aution Sticks and equipment for rapid analysis of urine in the SEZ.

Sakata Tocoa expressed the hope that, as it had been before, the Corporation ARKRAY will receive support in implementing of their plans from the management of the special economic zone and distributors. As a confirmation of what was said at the opening ceremony, a symbolic cooperation agreement was signed by Sakata Tocoa and the General Director of "EkoMed-SM" Nikolai Voroshilov. For several years the company have been distributing portable glucose meters in Russian and disposable test strips to them producedby Dubna resident, and now is ready to take up new business.

Indeed, the resident of special economic zone "Dubna" company "Arkrey" is the first research and production base of foreign origin for our country, with specialization in such a popular among Russian patients segment of medical instrument. Today, our team is ready to implement the stated plans of the investor. So far the reagents for the new production come from Japan, but we are actively searching for domestic suppliers. The manufacturers of the products - instructions for use, packaging, labels, etc were found in Russia. The promising work is being done on the localization at Dubna SEZ of the entire production, including, as it has been said, Aution Sticks analyzers themselves.

It is the resident that is in constant development and search - the first Deputy General Director of JSC "SEZ TIT "Dubna" Alexey Marin said. – No wonder there is a saying in Japan "there is no lim it to perfection". In July, it was exactly three years since the opening of the plant "Arkrey". During this time the resident was able to occupy firmly a niche in the domestic market of blood glucose meters, there is a constant expansion of the model range of these devices. The management of "Arkrey" decided to expand the production, and the Management company of the SEZ provided additional space, about 300 square meters for storage of finished products and research and production laboratory. And another new product has appeared as the result of advanced technologies and development of Japanese experts and strenuous efforts of the Russian experts. I have no doubt that these test strips, as well as all high qualitative products of our resident, will occupy a worthy place on the domestic market of medical products.
